Wow! I haven't talked about this before but would like to share it with you guys. Well, I was supposed to write a blog yesterday but it was jam packed last week, with so much of school work to complete. I still have a long way to go and a plethora of work to conclude before we break for Diwali💥
So, I’ve had a very hectic but fun week. We had the ‘School Spirit Celebration’ and I think it went pretty well. Students took pride in their school and participated in various activities namely ‘Colour day‘, ‘Superhero day, ‘Crazy Hair day‘ and ’Workout day’! Last week was also quite busy because I had report cards to submit that were due on Friday. I had pretty much everything into the system except comments. Comments did take me longer than I anticipated as I had Digital student portfolios to work on which needs to be submitted a little before the end of next week. So, next week is a full week but then again we have Diwali and Children’s day celebration on Wednesday and Thursday respectively. So I am kinda trying to squeeze everything in. Phew!
My weekends typically consists of eating, sleeping, tracking my weekly goals, walks, watching a few interesting shows and due to the current situation I can add grocery shopping to the list too. Last Saturday I decided it would be a day of doing nothing! I can take a day off simply to relax but then after a few hours I start getting anxious. I feel like I have to do something, maybe organise a part of my space or work on my next goal. I love having to do something after work. I feel good knowing I have other things to do at a certain time where I can de-stress myself. I remembered Diwali is next weekend and this was the only weekend I had to get done with the cleaning. I am glad I started a week before. It’s a ritual that’s followed by many since years. With a couple of helping hands, I got done with the windows, closet, kitchen cabinets and all the rooms in the house. I also had a class to take and finish a couple of pending letters. It was a productive Saturday after all !💁♀
On a Sunday, I like to wake up at my own time because I am not a morning person. These days, I stay up late on Saturdays binge watching my current favourite Turkish series. Well my day starts with a daily routine of drinking a bottle of water, getting into my car thereafter and driving to the nearest market to buy groceries for the week. It took me about an hour to and fro plus buying whats on my list. I love breakfasts and take my time to prepare lip smacking, simple, half fried eggs with toast for myself and omelette for my husband.
It took me another half hour to wash, sort the vegetables and other items. I usually cook light meals on a Sunday. Today I prepared kheema for lunch and spaghetti for dinner. I love cooking this dish because it’s easy, delicious and can be made quickly in less than 30 minutes.
Since childhood I have this habit of preserving newspaper clippings and paste it in a book with full sheets for future reference. Clippings usually include health tips, beauty tips, important information or recipes. Once I was done, I went back working on my next days lesson plan, documenting objectives and strategies for the same.
I hope you enjoyed reading my weekly blog. Do like and drop me a message if you did🌺🌼
