Happy Mind, Happy Life!

Until I got married everyone had only one thing to say to me, "Get married and you will know how busy life can be". Its close to 4 years since I tied the knot, people now have other things to say, " How come you have time to do so many things, well once you have a child you will know how busy life can be" 😇

Our brain is an organ that NEEDS interactions and collaborations with others in order to grow, to learn and to survive. In my profession with all the pressure of deadlines along with the responsibilities of planning, reports, discipline and other duties, the job can sometimes take a toll on you. Our mind craves to be at peace. To help relieve some of these pressures we must make sure to take time out for ourselves to bring some joy to our life.

Here are some of the tips I inculcate in my routine for a Happy Mind, Happy Life !

1) Tea time - Keeping busy is a good thing but it does not have to be productive all the time. You can just do things simply because you enjoy it. Not everything you do needs to make money. Sometimes it is more productive to engage in hobbies that's beneficial to your mind and not your pocket.

2) Gardening therapy- Planting can really heal, overcome anxiety and lift your mood. We learn how to take care and respect other living things. It is easy and a lot of indoor plants do quite well when grown in your bedroom including money plant, bamboo, cactus, snake plant and succulents.

3) Reading - Reading a book can be very therapeutic . Reading makes us alert, increases concentration, helps with the blood flow to reach our brain, and makes us more knowledgeable. I think it's a form of meditation when you engage yourself with the right kind of books.

4) Bathing -A warm bath instead of a hot bath can do wonders for your skin and your immune system. Its helps to ease the transition to a deeper sleep by reducing all your stress. You can make use of good essential oils, peaceful music which helps to relax and bring about sound sleep.

5) Express gratitude - A lot of us spend more time in focusing on what we don't have rather than on things we do. Why not be positive and spend our time taking care of the things we are blessed with. You must think of all the good things that's happening and be grateful for the same.

My friends ask me that when there is something bad happening in our life how can we think good. My brother had a fall and hurt himself, how can that be for good!

When the person is not there, you cannot dream about making changes for better in ones life. If someone is hurt and recovers well, that means he/she has been blessed and asked to continue to lead a good life, dream and they will come true! Some things are meant to be and it's not in our hands to change them. Cherish what you have with you today! Family, friends, a home to live in, food to keep you healthy, clothes to cover you up and lots more. "I'm sure"

It definitely does not take a lot of your time and I hope it helps you to de-stress & brings you some peace of mind.

Do drop me a message if you would like to share some tips that you have personally used!

Just discovered something a few days ago. Do a 2 minute, deep-breathing, eyes-open, shut-up & care free.. calming down meditation.. works wonders for the day

Very nicely written and many points have a deep meaning to a non-ignorant, deep thinker.. especially the gratitude one...

I would like to share more,

1. Yoga, when i say that..a little bit of physical and more and more of breathing exercise, which directly controls your mind

2. Meditation - In this age, its as important as breathing.

3. Learning and practising, a new musical instrument, no matter the age you are at, based on your interests/desire.

Do get in touch, if you want more information on above...😊😊
